Mark Allen is a professional snooker player from Antrim, Northern Ireland. He won the World Amateur Championship in 2004, turned professional the following year, and climbed to the top 16 in just three seasons.
The following year, at the 2012 World Open, he earned his first ranking championship. He has six ranking championships to his name, the most recent being the 2021 Northern Ireland Open. At the 2018 Masters, he won his first Triple Crown victory.
Allen has compiled more than 500-century breaks in professional competition, a prolific break-builder.
Mark Joyce – Here for a Pay Back
Mark Joyce is a Walsall-based English professional snooker player. In 2003, he began his professional career competing on the Challenge Tour. Joyce had a successful amateur career, winning the European Under-19 Championship in 2001, the English Open in 2005, and the English Amateur Championship in 2006, defeating Martin O'Donnell 8–3. Joyce also placed sixth on the Pontin's International Open Series in 2005/06, winning the second of eight events to earn a spot on the Main Tour.
He was paired with reigning champion Ronnie O'Sullivan in the first round. During the match, Joyce cut the deficit to 4-3 and had a chance to tie the match with a theft in the eighth frame, but O'Sullivan took the frame with the final black to lead 5–3. Joyce eventually fell 10–4 against O'Sullivan.
