Chippa United vs Supersport United Prediction: This game could end either way, but the hosts are my favourite pick

On Tuesday, Chippa United will face off against Supersport United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. The Chilli Boys have a stern test ahead of their clash against the new look Supersport United team and must be at their best to get anything away from this game.

The Chilli Boys suffered another defeat this season as they were beaten by Amazlulu on the road. Chippa United had more of the ball and fired more shots but failed to convert their chances. They conceded both goals before the break and left the pitch with nothing. Before then, Chippa United scored twice against a struggling Golden Arrows to secure all the points. 

Chippa United have played seven times in the league, with exceptional performances against top teams. They have picked up ten points from a combined twenty-one, scoring seven and conceding eight. 

Chilli Boys will be keen to make their home turf a refuge this season, winning three and losing once already this season. 

Supersport United FC (7th)

After two games without defeat, Gavin Hunt's side moved to seventh place on the log. They head here with a toothless stalemate against Golden Arrows, and they managed just two shots at goal. Since the start of this season, Supersport United have managed three goals in nine games in all competitions—a run marred with lots of missed chances and the ability to create meaningful opportunities. Supersport United have acquired one of the most lethal strikers in the division, Samir Nurkovic, to address their porous attack. 

Matsatsantsa have picked up eight points from a combined twenty-one, scoring twice and letting in five goals.

Supersport United have been inconsistent on the road, losing three of their last four games. 

Expert Betting Tips

Over their previous twenty meetings, Chippa United have won four while Supersport United have recorded six wins and ten games ending in a tie. Chippa United must quickly adjust against their opponent here to avoid back-to-back defeats. They are yet to taste defeat against their guests in eight consecutive games, but considering the guests' recent display, it’ll be hard to pick a winner here.

Supersport United, who scored just twice over their previous seven league games, acquired striker Samir Nurkovi to address this terrible run. It’s a bit risky, but I’ll back both teams to get a goal here for 2.21.
