Sacramento Kings vs Dallas Mavericks Prediction: The new-look Mavs look to tear apart Kings

The NBA trade deadline has brought us a bunch of changes and many teams have felt the widespread changes. This has been a busy period for management but not every team had been busy. The Mavs were very busy hauling in Kyrie Irving but there were the Sacramento Kings that didn’t make any moves. The Dallas Mavericks and the Sacramento Kings are going to meet here.

Sacramento Kings

The Kings enter the game after defeating the Rockets 130:128 as De’Aaron Fox looped in 31 points. This was their second straight win but a lowly Rockets team made it very hard. They have split their eight games and to be honest, they will have to step up their game in an increasingly hostile Western Conference. The Kings’ play has taken a bit of a hit and they are only usually beating the below-50% win teams, which is still laudable. A record of 31 wins and 23 losses gives them a cushion but they need more out of their bench.

Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks enter the game after defeating the Clippers 110:104 as Kyrie led the team in Mavs debut with 24 points. The Mavs have won five out of their seven games, but a weak January period means they are just four games above the 50% win mark with 30 wins. Of course, the addition of Kyrie elevates the team’s offense, which was needed as the team was overly reliant upon Luka Doncic. The defense of the Mavs has been superb lately and they are finding their groove from last season. However, will they be able to cope up with the loaded West?

Expert Betting Tips

The Kings have one of the best offenses in the league and they know when to turn on the heat, using their quick-styled scoring capabilities. The Mavericks have now also bolstered their offense and on average, their defense is way better than the Kings. Luka Doncic is questionable here and if he plays, the Mavs will have a big boost. However, I expect the Kings to make hay here and predict a scoreline of 120:113 in their favor.
