Nadal Plans to Retire After Davis Cup in November

Legendary Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal has announced that he will be retiring from professional tennis after the current season concludes.

The 38-year-old athlete holds the record for the most victories at Roland Garros, having won 14 titles in the French capital.

Nadal wrote on his social media pages:

Hello everyone. I’m here to let you know that I am retiring from professional tennis. The reality is that it has been some difficult years, these last two especially. I don’t think I have been able to play without limitations. It is obviously a difficult decision, one that has taken me some time to make. But, in this life, everything has a beginning and an end.

This year marks the first time Nadal will end a season without any match victories at the ATP Tour Finals since 2002.
