Karen Moorhouse, the CEO of the independent Tennis Integrity Unit (ITIA), shared her thoughts on the resolution of the controversial doping case involving Jannik Sinner, who failed a doping test.
Karen Moorhouse, quoted by Eurosport
There are arguments for and against it. But when we look at the case, we always apply the rules that were in effect at the time. So, I'm very pleased with how we handled the Sinner issue. And it's good that this case sparked discussions about changes to the rules.
The 23-year-old Italian tennis player, currently ranked number one in the ATP world rankings, was suspended for three months until May 2025 due to two positive doping tests for the steroid clostebol.
