Former World No. 1 Andy Murray To Miss Wimbledon Due To Back Surgery

Former world number one, British tennis player Andy Murray will miss Wimbledon-2024 due to back surgery. This was reported by the press service of the ATP.

The statement noted that he underwent surgery to remove a spinal cyst.

According to The Telegraph, doctors advised the 37-year-old tennis player to take a six-week break to recover from the surgery.

Wimbledon 2024 will be held from July 1 to 14. Andy Murray has twice won the prestigious Grand Slam tournament. He won the title in 2013 and 2016.

According to BBC, former world number one and multiple Grand Slam champion, Serbian Novak Djokovic will attend Wimbledon 2024, but has not yet made a decision on his participation in the tournament.
