Andrey Rublev Injures Knee in Paris Masters Second Round Match

Currently, a second-round match in the Masters tournament is taking place in Paris between sixth-ranked player Andrey Rublev and Argentine Francisco Cerundolo.

During the second set, with the score at 1-1, Rublev, in a moment of frustration after losing a point, struck his own knee with his racquet several times, resulting in an injury that caused bleeding.

The first set concluded with Cerundolo winning 7-6 (8-6) after a tie-break, marking a significant moment as he managed to win four consecutive games against Rublev.

The winner of this match will face either Stefanos Tsitsipas from Greece or Alejandro Tabilo from Chile in the third round of the tournament.

Earlier, Rublev stated that he has barely escaped amputation following his participation in the US Open.
