Rugby: Gareth Anscombe to make a Wales return

Fly-half Gareth Anscombe is going to make a return for the Wales main rugby squad after a gap of two years. The New Zealand-born player has earned the starting place over Rhyse Priestland as coach Wales coach Wayne Pivac has shuffled combinations. Gareth has been missing from the international rugby scene since 2019 after he suffered a knee ligaments injury before the 2019 World Cup.

Wayne Pivac, Wales Rugby Coach
In terms of the two 10s, we think Gareth starting and Rhys finishing is the way we want to go. They're both training well. They're both excited. What do we say about him? We kept saying stuff about him last season and he's still going. He's such a great role model. It's fantastic he'll pass Richie McCaw. But typically for him, it's about the team having a great performance, not him.
