Two Cyclists Crash into Spectators at Champions League Event

An incident occurred during the Champions League track cycling event in London involving British cyclist Katy Marchant and German cyclist Alessa-Catriona Propster.

During a keirin race, both athletes, traveling at high speeds, veered off the track, breached a 140-centimeter-high safety barrier, and landed into the spectators.

Before the final lap, the German athlete pushed the British rider against the railing, resulting in both cyclists flying over it.

As a result of the incident, the race and subsequent competitions were halted. Four spectators and both cyclists required medical attention, with Marchant hospitalized with a broken forearm.
