French Swimmer Critiques Quality of 2024 Olympic Medals

French swimmers Yohann Ndoye-Brouard and Clément Secchi criticized the quality of the medals earned by athletes at the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris on their social media pages.

Notably, both 24-year-old Ndoye-Brouard and Secchi, secured a bronze medal in the 4x100 meter combined relay as part of the French men’s team, setting a new national record with a time of 3:28.38, finishing behind teams from China and the United States.

Both swimmers shared photos of their awards, which showed significant deterioration in quality. The bronze coating on the medals had cracked, and the steel fragment in the center looked worn-out. Secchi captioned his photo with the phrase “Crocodile skin,” while Ndoye-Brouard posted a “Paris 1924” message.
