Tsarukyan: Honestly, Oliveira Used To Look Like A Sack Of Potatoes

Top Russian UFC light heavyweight fighter Arman Tsarukyan commented on his opponent, former lightweight division champion Charles Oliveira, who he will fight on April 14 at UFC 300.

Sport-Express quotes Tsarukyan as saying:

Before, whenever he felt resistance, he'd backpedal, but now he fights until the end. He falls in the first few rounds, but he gets up. They think he's already done, but then he stands back up and knocks them out, chokes them. Honestly, he used to look like a sack of potatoes, losing to everyone, and then he just started knocking out everyone in our weight class and became a champion.

Tsarukyan, 27, last stepped into the octagon in December 2023 at UFC on ESPN 52, defeating Beneil Dariush by first-round knockout. He has 21 wins and three losses on his record.

Oliveira, 34, had his last fight in June 2023 at UFC 289, defeating Beneil Dariush by first-round technical knockout. He has 34 wins and nine losses on his record.
