Eddie Hall, the strongest man of 2017, has announced that he is preparing for a fight against five-time World's Strongest Man winner, Polish MMA fighter Mariusz Pudzianowski. Hall revealed that the match is scheduled for April 26 at KSW 105 in Gliwice, Poland, although the organization has yet to officially confirm the bout.
I've been trying to get into MMA for quite a long time now and obviously the time has come. The deal landed on my lap to fight Maruisz Pudzianowski. It's not like I'm jumping in the deep end or anything!
“You’ve got to think, KSW as a fight federation, has got to be the best federation in Europe. I think I can say that. UFC’s got America, KSW has got Europe. So there’s no doubt, at some point, Mariusz has been the top-three, top-five in MMA in Europe, which is a hell of an accolade. That is like one of the most dangerous men on the planet," Hall said on his YouTube channel.
In August 2024, Hall fought against two opponents, brothers Jamil and Jamel Neffati, at the World Freak Fight League event, where he secured an early victory after knocking out one of the brothers with a right hook, leading to a stoppage by the referee.
Pudzianowski last entered the cage against Artur Szpilka in June 2023 at KSW 83, where he suffered a technical knockout defeat in the second round. He holds a record of 17 wins and nine losses in MMA, with one fight declared a no-contest.
