Sterling defeated Dillashaw by TKO in the second round at UFC 280

UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling faced his compatriot T.J. Dillashaw in the co-main event at UFC 280, taking place today, October 22, in Abu Dhabi.

Sterling won the fight, which was stopped in the second round by TKO. Thus, he defended his UFC flyweight title.

Sterling faced Petr Yan of Russia on UFC 273 in April of this year. The fight lasted the full five rounds and ended in favor of Petr Yan by split decision. Now, he has 22 wins and three defeats on his record.

In July 2021, Dillashaw competed at UFC Vegas 32. T.J. faced Cory Sandhagen, his compatriot. Dillashaw won this fight, which went the full distance, by split decision. He now has 17 wins and five losses under his belt.
