Two-weight ONE Championship champion Anatoly Malykhin spoke with marvelbetgames.com about how Sergei Pavlovich could win in a potential fight against Ciryl Gane.
"I wish Pavlovich victory, hoping he keeps making progress, finds his rhythm, and delivers quick, powerful strikes. Pavlovich will easily defeat Gane. Yes, the Frenchman is a striker, he’s agile and light on his feet, but I think Sergei will put him under pressure," Malykhin said.
One of Pavlovich's strengths is his ability to hit hard, and he needs to take away Gane's space. Sergei is also skilled in wrestling. I personally have experience grappling with Sergei and know how powerful he is. Pavlovich has wrestling skills and Gane doesn’t, as demonstrated by Jon Jones and Alexander Volkov. I think Gane hasn't even opened a wrestling textbook once.
In a conversation with fans, top heavyweight Sergei Pavlovich hinted that his next opponent could be Ciryl Gane. Recently, the Russian announced the start of his training camp and mentioned that he is preparing for "the most important fight of his life."
