UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev of Russia revealed when he plans to make the next defense of his title.
Makhachev said on Match TV:
I've already informed the UFC that I'm ready to fight before Ramadan. I would like to have three fights in 2024. I will train to the best of my ability, keep myself in shape all the time and wait for a call from the management.
Makhachev last stepped into the octagon on October 21 against featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski in the main event of UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi. Islam won by technical knockout in the first round. He has 25 wins and one loss on his record.
