Following his victory over Josh Emmett, British UFC featherweight fighter Lerone Murphy has expressed his desire to share the octagon with Brian Ortega.
Lerone Murphy's post-fight interview
Obviously, I want that title shot, but give me anything in the top five or top three. I’ll fight again in July. I just want to keep this train going. It’s just a fight I’ve been look at for a while. Obviously, you see Diego Lopes go in to get a title shot after beating him [Ortega], so I want to take a similar route. I finish him. I get better with every fight, I get more experience, and I get more confident.
Murphy faced Emmett on April 6 in the main event of UFC Vegas 105 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight went the full distance, and Murphy won by unanimous decision. He boasts a mixed martial arts record of 16 wins, one draw, and no losses.
