Dillashaw: Going From Being A Professional Athlete To Having One Arm Is Depressing

Former UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw spoke out regarding the injury that forced him to end his professional mixed martial arts career.

Dillashaw said in an interview with Quinton Jackson:

I don't know if my shoulder's ever going to be the same again. It's f*cking depressing. As a competitor, you have to be delusionally optimistic, but that's also what got me in this position too. Going from being a professional athlete to having one arm. It's a tough pill to swallow.

Dillashaw had his last career fight in October 2022 at UFC 280. At that time, he faced Aljamain Sterling. In this fight, T.J. was defeated by technical knockout in the second round. After this fight, Dillashaw had to undergo shoulder surgery. He has 17 wins and five losses in mixed martial arts.
