Brazilian UFC middleweight fighter Caio Borralho shared recent rumors regarding the injury of reigning division champion Dricus Du Plessis.

I also heard from another source a little closer to Dricus’ camp that it was an injury that seems to be a little serious, like a broken shin. I don’t know. Something like that. He’ll be out for about six months, and that would make it easier for the UFC to put [the interim title on the line].
Du Plessis last fought against Sean Strickland in February this year at UFC 312. That contest went the distance, with Dricus winning by unanimous decision. His record currently stands at 23 wins and two losses.
Borralho last competed in the octagon against Jared Cannonier in August 2024 at UFC on ESPN 62. That fight also went the distance and ended in favor of Caio with a unanimous decision. Borralho boasts a record of 17 wins and one loss, with one fight ruled as a no contest.
