Bellator lightweight champion, Brazilian fighter Patricio Freire, who previously requested to be released from his contract with PFL, shared his career plans.
Freire said in an interview with Ariel Helwani:
Now for me, it’s about legacy. I want to fight in the UFC, that’s all. I think the UFC will want to sign me. I want to fight Max Holloway, Topuria, Diego Lopes, [Alexander] Volkanovski. All those guys that people said they wanted to see me fight against.
Freire has not fought since March 2024, when he won against Jeremy Kennedy by technical knockout in the third round at the Bellator Champions Series Belfast. His record includes 36 victories and seven losses.
