Interim UFC heavyweight champion, British fighter Tom Aspinall, announced that next year he will face the reigning heavyweight champion, American Jon Jones.

Aspinall last fought in July 2024 at UFC 304, where he knocked out Curtis Blaydes in the first round. He currently holds a record of 15 wins and three losses.
Jones last stepped into the octagon in November 2024 at UFC 309, defeating Stipe Miocic by technical knockout in the third round. His record stands at 28 wins and one loss, with one fight declared a no contest.
