On April 17, at the Budvar Arena in Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, a quarterfinal match in the 2025 Women's Ice Hockey World Championship took place between the USA and Germany.
American defenseman Caroline Harvey had a funny moment during the game; she fell on the ice after a battle with an opponent, dropping her phone on the rink. The device was later retrieved and handed to the bench.
The game ended with the USA winning 3-0. The 22-year-old Caroline, a silver medalist from the 2022 Olympics and 2023 World Champion, who plays for the University of Wisconsin, did not register any points during the match.
In the semifinals of the Women’s World Championship 2025, the USA, under coach John Wroblewski, will play against the host nation, the Czech Republic, on April 19.
