Joseph Moukoko, the father of Borussia Dortmund forward Youssoufa Moukoko, has testified under oath that his son's age was falsified during childhood.
The age modification claimed that Youssoufa was four years younger, and it turned out the player is actually 24 years old instead of 20.
In light of the consequences of a false sworn statement, I declare under oath that Youssoufa Moukoko is neither my biological son nor my wife Marie Moukoko's. Just after his birth, I registered him at the German consulate in Yaoundé. He has a German birth certificate. Furthermore, my son cannot be older because his mother, Marie, is only 28 years old. He actually was born on July 19, 2000.
Joseph Moukoko is quoted by Bild, referencing the documentary "Tricks, Cheating, Deception - The Million Dollar Business with Football Talents."
Borussia Dortmund currently hold sixth place in the Bundesliga standings, with 21 points after 13 matches played this season.
Moukoko has appeared on the field 13 times this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
