Young Africans SC head coach Sead Ramovic has admitted that his side is under pressure as they prepare to play their second Group A match in the CAF Champions League against Algeria’s MC Alger in Algiers. Ramovic saw his side lose 2-0 at home to Sudan’s Al Hilal in his first match in charge, and says the defeat has piled pressure on the team’s shoulders.
Speaking to marvelbetgames.com just before their match in Algeria, the tactician says they know what is needed of them and will do their best to battle for three points and put their campaign on a positive pedestal.
We are under pressure after losing the first game, but it has given us the strength and motivation to prepare well for this game. We cannot plan what the final result will be, but we can plan how we will play to get a good result. I know we are facing a very tough team and playing under such pressure against them will be difficult. But we have a very experienced team and I know we can positively go through this period.
Yanga return to the venue where they lost the CAF Confederation Cup final against USM Alger in the 2022-23 season. They beat the Algerians 1-0 at that venue on that night, but lost the title, having lost the first leg 2-1 at home.
Ramovic will hope the team gets second time lucky, and wins on the same soil against a different opponent.
