Jamie Vardy, the 38-year-old forward for Leicester City, has announced his departure from the English club at the end of the current season. He shared this news in a video posted by Leicester's press service on social media.
Vardy has been with Leicester since 2012, helping the team rise from the Championship to the top league of English football. He played a crucial role in Leicester's historic Premier League victory during the 2015/2016 season, earning the titles of Premier League Player of the Season and FWA Footballer of the Year.
Vardy once held the record for the most consecutive matches in the Premier League with goal involvements, with an impressive streak of 15 games.
