FIFA President Gianni Infantino has confirmed that the United States and the United Kingdom will have the opportunity to host the Women's World Cup in 2031 and 2035, respectively.
The current world champions are the Spanish women's team, who claimed the title in 2023 in Australia and New Zealand. The next Women's World Cup is set to take place in Brazil in 2027. The US previously hosted the tournament in 1999 and 2003, while the upcoming event will mark the first time the UK serves as a host.
On Thursday, April 3, at the UEFA Congress in Belgrade, the head of the global football organization confirmed that these bids were the only ones submitted on time. An official vote will take place in 2026.
