An official announcement regarding his departure will be made soon. Earlier reports indicated that a new coach would be announced in February, with Rudy Garcia and Thierry Henry as leading candidates for the position. Sport-Express earlier reported that Sergio Conceição declined the opportunity.
Tedesco took over the Belgium national team in February 2023, but under his leadership, the team managed only one victory in their last eight matches, reaching the Round of 16 at Euro 2024 and finishing third in their Nations League group.
