According to the Mirror, Liverpool are in the final stages of negotiating a new two-year contract with 32-year-old winger Mohamed Salah, whose current deal expires this summer.
Initially, Salah's agent pushed for a three-year agreement, while Liverpool offered only a one-year contract. However, after negotiations, both parties reached a compromise on a two-year deal.
Financial matters were not an obstacle in the talks, as Salah is already one of the highest-paid players at Liverpool, earning a weekly salary of 400,000 euros.
Salah has been with Liverpool since July 2017, making a total of 370 appearances for the club, scoring 226 goals, and providing 101 assists. His market value is estimated at 55 million euros by the Transfermarkt portal.
Earlier, it was reported that Barcelona are not interested in signing Salah due to his age.
