Matvei Safonov, goalkeeper for French club PSG, explained why he left immediately after the first Champions League quarter-final against Aston Villa (3-1).
In this match, he remained on the bench while Gianluigi Donnarumma took his position between the posts.
Safonov said in a video on his Telegram channel:

I’m already out walking Morty. I rushed home after the game because my dog was home alone, just like in the movie, and I was worried something bad might happen.
The return match between Aston Villa and PSG will take place on April 15 in Birmingham at Villa Park, kicking off at 22:00 GMT+3.
