Romario Resumes Career At 58 To Play For America With His Son

Former Barcelona and Brazilian national team player Romario has decided to resume his career at the age of 58.

ESPN FC quoted Romario as saying on social media:

I'm not going to compete in the championship, but rather play a few games for the team of my heart and make another dream come true, playing alongside my son.

Romario is included in the bid of Club America from Rio de Janeiro, where he is the club president. The reason for this is the Brazilian's desire to play for the same team as his son.

Romario is the 1994 World Cup champion with the Brazilian national team, as well as a two-time Copa America winner. At club level, he played for Vasco da Gama, Barcelona, PSV, Al Sadd and Flamengo. In 2009, he announced the end of his career.
