According to AS, Real Madrid are looking to make significant changes to their squad during the upcoming summer transfer window, prompted by unsatisfactory results in the current season.
It is expected that 33-year-old right-back Lucas Vazquez will leave the team at the end of the season. The club considers Trent Alexander-Arnold as a potential replacement. There is also a possibility that 32-year-old defender David Alaba and 39-year-old midfielder Luka Modric may depart from Real Madrid.
Modric's contract expires this summer, and the club is contemplating whether to extend it. Alaba's current agreement runs until the summer of 2026, but there are doubts about his ability to return to form following a serious injury.
In the current La Liga season, Real Madrid are in second place with 63 points, while Barcelona lead the table with 67 points.
