Premier League to Introduce Semi-Automated Offside System Starting April 12

The English Premier League (EPL) has announced the implementation of a semi-automated offside system (SAOT), set to begin with matches from the 32nd round of the tournament.

As of the 29th round, Liverpool lead the standings with 70 points, 12 points ahead of Arsenal. Manchester City have won the league title for the last four seasons.

April 12 will see the debut of the new system, timed with the start of the 32nd round's matches. Previously, this semi-automated offside technology was introduced in England during the Cup starting from the fifth round and is also in use in UEFA Champions League matches.
