Inter Miami striker Lionel Messi revealed that after winning the World Cup he wanted to move to Newell's Old Boys. The Argentine said he does not rule out this move in the future.

Personally, the idea of being able to enjoy Argentine football has always been there, and even more so after having been world champions, of being able to play at Newells. When I was little I was already going to the ground.
Earlier, Inter Miami head coach Gerardo Martino commented on Messi's state of health, after he was replaced in the first half of the match against Toronto FC.
Also in an interview, the forward said that he will decide on participation in the 2026 World Cup after Copa America 2024.
