Mbappe Says Vini Jr. will be Primary Penalty Taker for Real Madrid

Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe clarified who will be the main penalty taker of the team. In the last match against Betis (2-0), Vinicius Junior gave Mbappe the opportunity to shoot a penalty.

Kylian explained that Vini is the preferred choice for penalties and he himself is the second option. The coach gives them both the freedom to choose.

Marca quotes Mbappe as saying:

It's communication, Vini shoots first and I shoot second. The coach gives freedom to both of us and we have to be smart to see how the game is. As I said the first day at my presentation, I don't want to force things and come here and take the ball, I want everything to come out naturally. Penalties are something we're going to do naturally.

Kylian signed a contract with Real Madrid this summer. He has played in five games and scored three goals so far. His contract will last until 2029 and his market value is estimated at 180 million euros by Transfermarkt.
