Marcelo, the former defender for Real Madrid, shared his thoughts on the ongoing debate comparing Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese striker for Al-Nassr, and Lionel Messi, the Argentine forward for Inter Miami.

Best player in history? I don't think there's one. We're lucky to have played in the same era of Cristiano and Messi. I don't like comparisons but we have to say they were both incredible and I've been lucky to be part of this. When Messi scored 2 goals Cristiano had to score 3, and then Messi wanted to score 4. Many people want to compare but forget to enjoy.
Marcelo played for Real Madrid from January 2007 to August 2022. During his time with the club, the Brazilian player won the UEFA Champions League five times. In September 2022, he joined Greek club Olympiacos and finished his career in November last year with Brazilian team Fluminense.
