Spanish newspaper Marca reports that Portuguese national team forward and 2016 European Champion Cristiano Ronaldo may become a co-owner of the Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr, where he currently plays.
On January 14, the newspaper AS reported that the 39-year-old forward is close to extending his existing contract with the team for another year. Under the new agreement, Ronaldo is set to earn around three million pounds per week. Additionally, the club management in Riyadh is offering the decorated Portuguese player a five percent stake in the team to show their satisfaction with the collaboration.
In the 2024/2025 season, Ronaldo played in 13 matches in the Saudi Pro League, scoring 11 goals and providing two assists. He also scored four goals in four AFC Champions League matches. The forward's current contract with Al-Nassr is set to expire at the end of June 2025. His transfer value is estimated at 12 million euros by Transfermarkt.
