Football Insider reports that Manchester City has opened discussions with the agents of 21-year-old Bayer midfielder Florian Wirtz regarding a potential transfer to the City team during the next transfer window.
Sources indicate that Bayern Munich are also interested in the German midfielder. However, Manchester City intend to actively compete with the Munich club for the chance to sign Wirtz.
This season, Florian has played in 39 matches across all competitions, scoring 15 goals and providing 13 assists. His current contract with Bayer lasts until the summer of 2027, and Transfermarkt estimates him at 140 million euros.
