Man City striker Haaland leaves Norwegian national team because of groin injury

English Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has left the Norwegian national team due to a groin injury, according to the press service of the Norwegian Football Association (NFF).

"After medical tests and examinations yesterday it became clear that Haaland will not be able to play in the matches against Spain and Georgia," the press service quotes Norwegian national team doctor Ola Sand.

During the qualifying matches for the European Championship 2024 Norwegian team will play on March 25 with the national team of Spain, and on March 28 they will meet the national team of Georgia.

On March 15, Haaland scored a penta-trick in Manchester City's match against German Leipzig in the return leg of the Champions League round of 16. The match ended 7-0. The first game ended 1-1.
