
L'Equipe reports that AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan has been discharged from the hospital following a head injury sustained during the Serie A match against Udinese.
The match took place on April 11 at the BluEnergy Stadium in Udine, ending with a 4-0 victory for the Rossoneri. The 29-year-old captain of AC Milan collided with teammate and defender Alex Jimenez, lost consciousness, and had to leave the field on a stretcher, making way for Marco Sportiello.
On the morning of April 13, it was revealed that Maignan had been released from the hospital. He has been advised to rest completely and avoid physical activities until April 15, when he will undergo another examination.
So far this season in Serie A, Maignan has conceded 35 goals in 31 matches while managing to keep eleven clean sheets. His contract with Milan runs until the end of June 2026, and according to Transfermarkt, his market value stands at 25 million euros.
