
Hugo Gatti, the former goalkeeper for the Argentine national team, has passed away in a hospital in Buenos Aires at the age of 80, as reported by AS.
It is known that Gatti had been hospitalized about two months ago due to an incident that required surgery on his hip. His post-operative condition was complicated by the development of an infection.
During his career, Gatti represented clubs such as Atlanta (Buenos Aires), River Plate, Gimnasia y Esgrima, Unión Santa Fe, and Boca Juniors. He achieved two Copa Libertadores titles and one Intercontinental Cup.
In addition, he played 18 matches for the Argentina national team.
