The German Football Association (DFB) wants to invite current Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp to be the head coach of the German national team, according to Bild.
According to the source, the DFB will make an offer to Klopp if Julian Nagelsmann does not renew his contract and leaves for Bayern Munich. The current national team coach is considered the main contender to replace Thomas Tuchel, who has decided to leave the club.
In January, Klopp announced his departure from Liverpool at the end of the season-2023/24.
Earlier, the German specialist said that he is not yet thinking about continuing his career after leaving Liverpool. Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola is confident that Klopp will return to work after the break.
