Harry Kane becomes third player in EPL history to score 200 goals

Tottenham forward Harry Kane has become the third player to score 200 goals in the English Premier League (EPL), according to statistics portal Opta Sport.

The 29-year-old striker scored in the 22nd round of the EPL against Manchester City. The match took place on February 5 in London and ended with a 1-0 win for the hosts.

Former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer (260 goals) and former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney (208) were the previous top scorers in the EPL.

Kane was the fastest to reach 200 goals in the English championship, as it took him 304 games. Shearer scored his 200th goal after 306 games and Rooney after 462.

In the current EPL season, Kane has scored in 17 games out of 22 appearances.
