Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has shared his thoughts on the future of 33-year-old attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, whose contract is set to expire next summer.
Guardiola was quoted as saying by City Xtra:
I would like to have a 23 year-old Kevin and sign a contract for 10 more years. There are players that impact the legacy of this club and will be there forever. It's not easy (to replace), but in the moment it's going to happen we'll see.
Currently, Manchester City sit fourth in the Premier League standings, with 26 points after 14 matches.
Earlier reports indicated that Manchester City plan to offer De Bruyne the opportunity to continue his career at one of the partner clubs.
