Former Man City Star Navas Faces Early Retirement Due to Injury

Former Manchester City player Jesus Navas has indicated that a chronic hip injury may compel him to retire earlier than anticipated. The 38-year-old, who returned to Sevilla after four successful years at City, shared his struggles on Canal Sur Radio:

I've been in this situation for four years. It is wearing you down, it's getting worse, it is getting more and more continuous, more intense. It's complicated, when you finish a game, I haven't been able to walk for two or three days, which becomes complicated. I hope I can make it until December because every game starts to be difficult.

Navas has made 692 appearances for Sevilla since debuting in 2003. He joined City for £15 million in 2013, winning the Premier League and two League Cups before returning to Sevilla in 2017. Navas recently made his international comeback, featuring for Spain in Euro 2024, where they triumphed over England.
