Flick Names Lewandowski the Best Striker of the Decade

Barcelona head coach Hans-Dieter Flick praised the performance of Catalan forward Robert Lewandowski, declaring him the best striker of the past decade.

Flick's words were shared by journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano on his social media:

Robert Lewandowski has been the best center striker in the world for the last 10 years. His job is to play in front and score goals, and he does that. Simple!

This season, the 36-year-old Lewandowski has played in eight matches across all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing two assists. His contract with the club runs until the summer of 2026, and according to Transfermarkt, his market value stands at €15 million.

On May 19, Todofichajes reported that Barcelona's management was considering parting ways with the Polish veteran while also discussing the possibility of extending Lewandowski's contract under less favorable terms. The press later revealed that the team management is looking for a replacement for the forward.
