The Daily Mail has reported on the temporary suspension of Chelsea and Ukraine national team midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk due to a decision by the Football Association of England (FA).
On December 17, Tribuna reported that the 23-year-old midfielder of the Blues failed a doping test. A prohibited substance was found in Mudryk's A sample, which he submitted in October 2024. The B sample will be examined in the coming days, and if it also tests positive, the midfielder faces a four-year ban.
In the 2024/2025 season, Mudryk has played seven matches in the Premier League without scoring, and six matches in the Conference League, where he scored three goals and provided four assists. His contract with the club expires at the end of June 2031, and the player’s market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €30 million.
On September 19, TEAMtalk reported that Mudryk could be sold by the London club's management during the winter transfer window. According to the source, the midfielder is unhappy with his playing time.
