Benzema Does Not Name Mbappe as Best French Players of the Year

Al-Ittihad forward Karim Benzema did not include Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe in his list of the best French players in a survey conducted by France Football regarding the past season.

According to L’Équipe, Benzema left Mbappe off his top three list due to "deep animosity." However, Eduardo Camavinga, Bradley Barcola, and William Saliba made it to Benzema’s top three.

During the 2023/24 season, while playing for Paris Saint-Germain, Mbappe recorded 44 goals and ten assists in 48 matches across all competitions. In the current season, he has scored 12 goals and provided two assists in 22 matches with Real Madrid.

Earlier, Mbappe was named the best French player of the season by France Football for the second year in a row.
