According to Mundo Deportivo, Bayer Leverkusen and Germany defender Jonathan Tah will join Barcelona in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The source reports that the 28-year-old defender has already agreed to a five-year contract with the Catalan club, which will be valid until the summer of 2030.
Tah will join the club as a free agent next summer after his contract with Bayer ends. His agreement with the German club is set to expire on June 30, 2025.
This season, the 28-year-old has played 25 matches in all competitions for Bayer, scoring two goals. Transfermarkt estimates his market value at 30 million euros.
Currently, Barcelona are positioned third in the Spanish league table, having secured 38 points after 19 games played.
Journalist Florian Plettenberg previously confirmed that Barcelona’s sporting director Deco has discussed the possibility of Tah's transfer to the Spanish club.
Additionally, there are reports indicating that the Blaugrana do not plan to sign new players in the upcoming winter transfer window due to significant financial issues.
