In celebration of its 125th anniversary, FC Barcelona have introduced a new mascot — the CAT. This announcement was made by the club's press service on its official channels.
The mascot was developed by the Grangel brothers in collaboration with the club.

The mascot CAT is known for being an FC Barcelona fan, charismatic, innovative, a leader, demanding, creative and inclusive, traits that inspired the creative process. The mascot CAT came about by honouring Catalan roots, hence its name.
Barcelona was founded in 1899 by a group of footballers from Switzerland, the UK, Spain, and Catalonia under the leadership of Joan Gamper. The Catalan club celebrates its birthday on November 29.
Earlier, the club received congratulations on its anniversary from its traditional rivals, Real Madrid. Additionally, media reports revealed that former player Lionel Messi will be unable to attend the club's anniversary celebration.
