
According to Marca, Barcelona is set to extend the contract of head coach Hansi Dieter Flick, with the new agreement expected to last until the summer of 2027.
The signing of the contract is planned for the end of the current season. The 60-year-old Flick took charge of Barcelona in May 2024. Under his leadership, the team won the Spanish Super Cup in 2025, reached the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League for the first time since 2019, and made it to the final of the Copa del Rey.
The Blaugrana currently sit at the top of the La Liga standings with 76 points.
Earlier, Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal received the Laureus Award for Breakthrough of the Year.
