British driver Lando Norris clinched victory in the final race of the Formula 1 season, held at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As a result of this win, McLaren have claimed the Constructors' Cup.
Spanish driver Carlos Sainz from Ferrari finished second, marking this race as his last for the team. Monte Carlo's Charles Leclerc completed the top three after starting in 14th place.
Norris's teammate, Australian Oscar Piastri, came in tenth. He started the race in second but found himself at the back of the pack after a collision with Red Bull's Max Verstappen, which resulted in both drivers receiving ten-second penalties. Verstappen, who won his fourth title earlier in the season, finished in sixth place.
Finn Valtteri Bottas could not finish the race in his last outing with Alfa Romeo, nor could Red Bull’s Sergio Perez and Franco Colapinto representing Williams.
It’s worth noting that McLaren won the Constructors' Cup for the first time since 1998, with Ferrari finishing in second place and Red Bull taking third.
Earlier in the season, Max Verstappen had already locked in his fourth championship title. Lando Norris finished second in the individual standings, with Charles Leclerc in third.
